    Israel-Gaza conflict: Your stories

    from Gaza with love

Fear is a natural feeling, but it is our reaction to fear that defines us.
My name is Amal Khayal, I am a 20 year old Palestinian girl and I am trying to make you understand what we’ve been living.
8 days ago, unexpected shelling started supposably targeting “Hamas members”, but it actually targeted everything that moves, we are being sentenced to death.
Can you tell me what you would feel to see your mother crying, or even worse your 10 year old baby brother, knowing you can’t do anything to stop them.
I can’t find the words to describe not just the fear that every Gazan has been living for the past 8 days, but the perplexity whether you are going to live to see the sun shining again or not.
what would your first thoughts be when you hear that your unbelievably sweet dermatologist has surprisingly seen his 2 year old baby being counted along with the martyrs’ bodies, he died instantly from a splinter that opened his head, or the story of Amna Hijazy (at intensive care at the moment) who lost her son Mohammed Hijazy in an Israeli air strike in the 2008 war, and with God’s mercy she had another baby boy and called him Mohammed whom she just lost along with her other son and husband, she just lost her entire family, what kind of life is she going to live? That is if she survived at all!
these are just two stories from many heart breaking ones.
We’ve been lucky to survive this far, but you never know the next attack will take who.
I don’t think you would believe that this what is really happening, u all think that Israel is the victim and we are the ones that are terrorizing their peace and serenity .. well we are not !! If you searched google a bit about the 2008 war images, you will be shocked from what you’ll see.
Cease fire is suppose to start within a few minutes and the sound of bombs is not stopping.
I don’t know why I wrote this, maybe I am trying to express some of the sadness that is aching inside by sharing it.
Can you please keep us in your prayers, we just want to live in peace without having to worry about family and friends all the time..
