    Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade takes New York City on perfect fall day

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     iReporter juliacr shot photos of Macy's Annual Thanksgiving Day Parade from Central Park West. A photographer, she tells CNN iReport that after the hardship she's seen while photographing Hurricane Sandy, it is great to see New Yorkers in a good mood today.

    With no wind, reasonably warm weather and bright sunshine, New Yorkers found the perfect day to hold Macy's annual, nationally televised, Thanksgiving Day Parade. An estimated 3.5 million people came out to see the balloons float by for themselves, some camping out as early as 2:30am to get the best spots on Central Park West
