Look closely at the faces of Israelis from the south who endured eight days of Operation Pillar of Defense against Hamas.
Are they the faces of hatred? Of fear?
No: They're faces of resilience.
Faces of disbelief that neighbors across the border could fire indiscriminately at schools, hospitals and apartment buildings.
Faces of gratitude to the IDF and Home Command who protected them from worse damage.
Faces of resignation to the fate of the Jews, even in our own land.
