    Glenora Ferry, Adolphustown, Ontario

A great weekend getaway for our Eastern New York friends can be found just north-west of The Thousand Island's border. Driving west on Hwy. 401 to Kingston, Ontario I highly recommend driving to Bath, Ontario where the road ends (Hwy 33) and becomes a scenic ferry ride towards Picton, Ontario which is free of charge due to it being a continuation of Hwy. 33.. Upon exiting the ferry watch for signs directing you to The Lake on the Mountain. Bring your camera! Picton and area are home to many "Bed and Breakfasts" along the way. A short 30 plus mile drive will take you to Belleville "on the Bay of Quinte". Wonderful Christmas shopping opportunities greet you also on this weekend trip across the border. It truly is a scenic and memorable area, without the heavy traffic of the big cities. I highly recommend this short get-a-way!
