    Macy's Thanksgiving Parade-2012

More than 3 million people gathered to watch the 86th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday November 22nd. This year some of the victims of Hurricane Sandy wearing orange hats were provided with front row seats to get a better view of the floats and balloons.

Children and adults were delighted by the clowns, the sound of marching bands, performers and the giant helium balloons. Elf on the Shelf made its debut this year along with a new version of Papa Smurf. Old favorites like Kermit the Frog, Ronald MacDonald, Buzz Lighyear, The Aflac Peking Duck, Spiderman to name a few still delighter the crowd.

Seeing the children faces light up at the site of these giant balloons and Santa Claus on the last float makes it all worth it.
