100 places to eat like a local

    Some North Jersey Americana....

Biggies Clam Bar is my choice for a local eatery. This will give you a slice of northern NJ Americana. The first Biggies opened in 1946 in Hoboken NJ. They now have three Biggies within 10 miles of each other. (2 in Hoboken) There is a street named after the store. Family owned (now 4 generations deep). Clams, cheese steaks, Tai Chili Calamari...you name it. Tai chili Calamari becoming a favorite. I think the key to Biggies is not only the fact that it is a local favorite and family owned, but it really does represent the local Northern NJ population. Two in Hoboken, and one in Carlstadt (very close to Met Life Stadium). I have been going to Biggies since the 1980's. I have been a fan every since.
