Middle Eastern Flavor in the Delmar Loop

Ranoush is my favorite Middle Eastern restaurant. Located in the Delmar Loop in St. Louis, MO, it offers great quality food at reasonable prices along with sidewalk hookahs if its your thing. I enjoy the atmosphere as much as the food because if you're a people watcher like me, a sidewalk table offers me a view of people and ethnicities that are eclectic and interesting. The decor and wall murals add to the aunthenticity of the experience. The lamb kabobs are spiced just right and melt in your mouth. The selection of appetizers, from hummus, baba ghanoush (eggplant) or warak Ennab (grapeleaves) are all tasty and authentic. My meal is never complete until I sit back and enjoy a glass of mint tea along with a serving of Knafeh (the Syrian version combines baklava with cheesecake and is to die for!). I would recommend it as a must do not just for locals, but for travelers coming through the St. Louis area.
