Chasing Last Night's Dinner
But this is isn't my only goal. This past year, I watched my mother's failing health decline even further after she fell and broke her hip. After realizing that moving back home wasn't an option for her, I moved Mom into an assisted living facility near me. Besides paying bills, I manage her doctor visits and make sure all her conditions are treated. The amount of medicine that she takes is astounding, and I never want to be in that position with my own health.
Since I've ramped up my exercise and cleaned up my diet of late, I want to push myself even further and become the athlete that my mind says I should be. At age 42 with 3 young daughters, I want to be a shining example that you can do anything you put your mind to. My twins are entering their teen years, and even though they may not listen to my words, they'll certainly remember my actions.
