At this time the cities of Colon, La Chorrera and Arraijan have been strongly affected by the rains that have caused landslides in the province of Colon, where entire houses have disappeared. In the western sector of La Chorrera, Arraiján and Capira, rains havecaused the river rapidly rising Caimito affecting shopping centers and residential areas.
The city of Colon is built below sea level and at this time there are areas that seem a little Venice. In Arraijan Hato Montaña sector has been the most affected where waterhas gotten into the store The Machetazo, Casa Goly, a fuel station, a police station andHato Mountain neighborhood.
In La Chorrera the Los Flamingos and areas near the river have been affected Caimito.It should be noted that the water comes from the rain in these areas, but it has rained in the head of these rivers, which is why people did not realize until their homes, cars and businesses were being affected.
The National Government prepares relief measures, declaring Colon, La Chorrera,Arraijan and Capira disaster areas and coordinating aid with the Red Cross,SINAPROC, the office of the first lady and private aid
