    Winter's Eve Celebration

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     RVCFOTO celebrated the start of the holiday season at the annual Winter's Eve at Lincoln Square in New York City yesterday. There were performances from musician Suzanne Vega and even some of the cast members of Broadway hit Avenue Q. For RVCFOTO, the best part was seeing children dancing around the lit Christmas tree.

    The Thirteenth annual “Winter’s Eve at Lincoln Square” kicked off the Holiday season featuring free musical performances, street festivities and samplings from 33 top restaurants.

    Winter’s Eve has become an annual tradition for this Upper West side neighborhood for all to enjoy. Singer/songwriter Suzanne Vega, cast members from Avenue Q, and the Brooklyn Youth Chorus performed before the countdown to the lighting of the tree.

    Broadway from 59th to 68th st was transformed into a winter wonderland with entertainment and food tasting along the sidewalks.
