America Votes: WorldView |
The perpetual foe
This election can mean a turning point for Venezuela, a country whose "leader" has used the undeniable anti-US sentiment prevalent in our region and our country's oil as his 2 most deadly weapons to sequester our freedom and our liberties.
The alienating nature of the Bush Administration created the perfect breeding ground for the authoritarian rule of Hugo Chavez.
The US has been the scapegoat: from unemployment to inflation, from every natural disaster to the enormous increase of violent crimes in the streets of Caracas, from food shortages to the demise of justice, he blames it on the Imperialistic Nature of the Americans!
A very simple recipe: Keep citizens busy thinking the US will invade our country and steal our oil to take the pressure off his inexplicable failure as a ruler.
He needs a powerful enemy to survive and to maintain control of the government and HE KNOWS IT. That's why he NEEDS Mc Cain to win (so does Mahmoud Ahmadinejad).
If Obama wins, then the world will come down on him and that scares him to death.
