Loving and losing a dog: Your tributes

Missing the Love of my Mini Schnauzer Emmy

I lost my pup on 8/2/11 and she was only 6 years old. She passed onto the Rainbow Bridge due to complications from lymes disease and her kidneys.

She was the SWEETEST, a VERY LOVING pup who loved to cuddle. Every night we'd sit together on the sofa and I'd say give mama some lovin and she would climb with her front paws on my chest and lay her head on my heart while I petted her and gave her lovin back! It broke my heart to have to put her down, but she was in such pain that I had no other choice.

So we spent our last hours, my husband Ed and I, holding her, telling her how much we loved her and sat by her side as our veterinarian explained what would be happening each step of the way. I shed so many tears because she was not just my pet, she was my family. I loved and, still do, her so dearly.

We had her cremated and she (in her pretty little box) sits in our bedroom and I say good night and remind her that one day we will meet again.
