President Obama to Host Mitt Romney for White House Lunch

On Thursday Mitt Romney will have lunch with President Obama at the White House. This will mark the first time the two rivals have met since the November 6th election. I had commented that if Obama had won it would be wise of him to seek out counsel from Mitt Romney knowing that despite their differences, Romney is an outstanding businessman and crisis manager. I also said I hoped Romney should accept such an invitation for the good of the country and lend the President whatever expert advice he asks for.

Nothing has been said about what the meeting will be about and there will be no press, but Obama should be supported and praised for reaching out to his rival. I hope good things come out of this meeting.
