This iReport is part of an assignment:
The fiscal cliff: Messages to Washington

an often forgotten budget and economy boost

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     bozbie believes a decision will be made before going over the fiscal cliff, before the December 31 deadline. However, she would rather go over the cliff then not having taxes raised on the wealthy. She says if taxes are raised, she would have to cut back spending on traveling and eating out. As an adult, she says one of the best financial lessons she's learned is to spend no more than what you have. 'Learn to live with less,' she says. 'We don't need a lot to be happy.'

Have you made financial compromises? What's your financial advice for Congress? Let us know. Your story could be featured on CNN.

we are retired teachers and had to go back to work because of health insurance costs. if obamacare does in fact offer more affordable health care options, millions of jobs will open up because many of us will be able to retire. that will help the economy, and along with that we feel the wealthiest americans should be taxed at a higher rate. as middle class people we are living on a very tight budget. no new cars, little travel, and we have lost 200,000 dollars value in a house we are trying to sell.....
