Shooting the Rapids in Pagsanjan
Pagsanjan Falls, one of the most famous waterfall in the Philippines. Located in the province of Laguna, this waterfall is one of the major tourist attractions in the area.
The most popular way of reaching the waterfall is through "shooting the rapids" boat ride. Licensed and skilled boatmen (bangkeros) takes the passengers (locals and even tourists) on a long and fiberglass canoe which could take more than an hour of paddling. The exciting "shooting the rapids" is the boat ride through fourteen rapids as the boatmen maneuvers the boat through the big and narrow rocks as it head downstream.
So if you ever come in the Philippines especially in Laguna, don't forget to visit Pagsanjan where you can experience this one of a kind shooting the rapids.
