He Sold a Winning Powerball Ticket

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     lukejones who reports for local cable access in Boston was interested in interviewing the store owner who sold a million dollar Powerball ticket in Boston, Massachusetts. 'I heard before that when a store owner sells a winning ticket, they get a percentage of the winnings. In this case, this store owner got roughly $10,000,' he said. He says the convenience store owner, Zelalem Ayele, was pretty happy and said the money will help out his store. He says the store owner also hopes that by selling one of the winning Powerball tickets that more people will find an incentive to stop by the store.
    - Jareen, CNN iReport producer

The day after the Powerball drawing, 7-Eleven store owner Zelalem Ayele was surprised to learn he'd sold a $1 million ticket, one of only four bought in Massachusetts. Now his store is abuzz with people eager to buy the next winning ticket. The best part--just for selling the ticket, Ayele gets $10,000.

To win the $1 million, players had to select five correct numbers, missing only the Powerball number.
