This iReport is part of an assignment:
Christmas where you live
The Spirit of Christmas
I went there to take picture for my finals in photography class. But my heart melted at the sight of it. I instantly remembered my grandparents. I imagined how they spend Christmas. The thought that I should loved and appreciated my grandfather and grandmother more came to me while I was there. They should be enlightened about how lucky they are and how they should spend Christmas happily like how we celebrate it.We must love our grand parents and take care of them like how they took care of us. They deserve to be happy.
I was amazed with the workers and house parent because they are caring and extremely patient with the elders which they treat like they were they're own grandparents, not like the patients they were.
I was also touched by the fact the the workers sometimes doesn't go home to their families in order to take care and just be with the less fortunate and abandoned elders.
It does not matter how old or young you are. Live life as it is, cherish it and just enjoy it. It can change in a matter of hours, minutes and even seconds. Live it with no regrets and make it so beautiful that it would be worth remembering.
And then I remembered what Linus in Charlie brown said,
Linus’ King James version scripture reading from Luke 2: 8-14, read:
And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this [shall be] a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
Spread the Love.
