33 Simple Parols of Calle Pogi
"Every time anyone passes by that street, they cannot help but pin their eyes on the colorful parols [a traditional Filippino Christmas decoration made from bamboo and paper]," she says.
"Even I cannot help myself from smiling whenever I pass by that street and think of how devoted Filipinos are in celebrating Christmas. This happens only once a year, so residents combine their efforts to put them up."

The unique embodiment of Christmas in the street of Calle Pogi in Pacita I, San Pedro, laguna exhibits 33 brightly lit huge parols or lanterns every night. This exhibit of parols done every year is the only street in San Pedro that celebrates Christmas this way. Every resident of Calle Pogi participated in setting up the parols around late October.
