    Friday protests in Egypt

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     iReporter arasquare captured this video of protesters marching on the road from the city of Giza towards Tahrir Square in Cairo. The mass demonstrations come after the country's constitutional assembly approved Egypt's new draft constitution. The constitution needs to be approved by the people, many of whom are angry at President Mohamed Morsy's edict extending his powers last week. "The atmosphere is very enthusiastic, with thousands in the square chanting against the constitutional declaration and against Morsy," our iReporter said. "Protesters want the assembly to be dissolved and another to be formed that represents all Egyptians." He says he intends to stay in the square until late on Friday, while many are reportedly planning to camp out.

    Thousands of Egyptians took to the streets of Egypt on Friday, November 30, to protest against the Constituent Assembly that doesn't represent all Egyptians and against the constitutional declaration issued by President Morsi that gives him sweeping powers and immunizes his decisions against courts orders. Protesters marched from different areas in Cairo and Giza cities to Tahrir square where a mass rally is organized. Many political parties and youth movements took part in the protests. People of all ages and social background participated in the protests. People chanted "Down with the constitutional declaration", "Down with the constituent assembly" , "Egypt is for all Egyptians", "Free revolutionaries, we will continue the path", "Oh freedom" and "Down with the Brotherhood rule". Protesters took to the streets because they felt that there is a deviation from the goals of the revolution.
