Wall Street crisis and you |
Enjoying Fishing
I really haven't had economic problems. I have actually been adding things rather than cutting things out of my spending. I recently bought a fishing boat and have been enjoying it. Gas hasn't been a problem. I own an Excursion and take it on road trips (not out in the woods - I have an old pickup that I use for going out in the woods for hunting/fishing so I don't mess up my main vehicle).
One reason I am not worried is my steady income, which is good. Also, I don't invest in the stock market. People say that if you invested in the stock market, over seven or eight years you would make a lot more than a savings account. WRONG! Look at the DOW for the last eight years. Eight years ago, it was HIGHER than it is today. I have actually MADE MORE THAN A VAST MAJORITY OF STOCK INVESTORS BY NOT INVESTING IN THE STOCK MARKET. LOL! With the bank problems, though, I might withdraw most of my money there and just keep it at home.
The lesson to you people who have to cut things out is: Do not invest in the stock market. Also, keep a minimum amount in the bank.
Don't try to say I am wrong. I am living well. You are not.
