The fiscal cliff: Messages to Washington |
Fiscal Cliff
I want to raise the taxes because it would help us pay off the debt that we owe. I know that raising taxes would upset the rich but why shouldn't the rich pay more they have the money to do so; the poor can't pay as much because they don't have that extra money that I know the rich has. The rich can help and they have all that money but can't help with this issue, it sound a little selfish to me. Another thing that I would do to resolve this is to cut spending which would help bring down our debt and help a lot with this fiscal crisis and may even resolve it.
I would listen to the people to see if they can give me any advice of what to do if this were to happen. I would have to tell them that we need to reduce our spending and raise our taxes to help reduce the debt that we are currently in right now. I would take what they say into consideration and try to prevent or fix the fiscal cliff situation.
