    Spontaneous Combustion of Parked Motorcycle in SoHo

    At 3 p.m. today a motorcycle parked on Spring Street near Varick spontaneously combusted into flames with a loud boom, sending a column of black smoke storeys high. No one was injured in the blaze, and two trucks of fire fighters responded quickly from the New York City Fire Museum location just down the street.
