    October Snowstorm

    On October 14th I was driving over Independence pass from Aspen to Leadville, Colorado. The road reaches an elevation of 11,000 feet before it drops down the other side. It was snowing very heavy that day even though it was supposed to be Fall season. This photo shows weather generally unusual for the time of year, but at high altitude winter can come any month.
