    Deployed Soldier Salutes Army Wife

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     I BELIEVE BEING A MILITARY SPOUSE IS DIFFICULT, OFTEN BEING UNDER APPRECIATED AND OVERLOOKED. I TRY TO LET MY WIFE KNOW HOW MUCH SHE MEANS TO ME AND HOW MUCH I NEED HER IN MY LIFE AS OFTEN AS I CAN, USING AS MANY TOOLS AS I CAN. CNN'S SALUTE TO THE TROOPS IS A FANTASTIC TOOL FOR ME TO ONCE AGAIN REMIND MY WIFE HOW IMPORTANT SHE IS. -SGT C. MICHAEL HULL

    It has been said time and again that one of the hardest jobs in the military is being married to somebody in the military. As hard it we may work defending this country, our jobs would be much more difficult without the support of our loved ones. Now that I am deployed, I lean on my wife for comfort, guidance, and strength. Not only does she have to deal with her own problems back in the United States, but she is also a key player in understanding my trials, tribulations, and elation. With her as my foundation and the rock that I look towards to ground me, my time during this deployment has been considerably more tolerable. I'm so fortunate to have a woman like her beside me.
