Over weight Opera Singer wants to become a Triathlon Opera Man

Hi, My Name Is Eduardo Chama, I am 51 yo and weights around 250 Pounds. By profession I am a quite successful opera singer and an associate professor at Rutgers university, where I teach how to sing. I am originally from Argentina, and studied in Israel, now an american citizen. when I came to this country I was slim and fit, ( a couple of centuries ago) Living in Ny those days as an struggling artist I discover that actually was cheaper to order delivery that to cook at home. I became also a genius to put excuses to do not work out or do any physical activity, the result: terrible food and nutrition habits, lots of weight gain, and feeling constantly tired. Like everybody else in this nation I spend a huge amount of hours sitting (at the piano) teaching, by the time I get home I am so tired to cook that I usually order out or eat badly. When I am not teaching I am singing and, more bad habits, a lot of going out with the colleagues, that are usually slim because there are younger tan me, and I guess they have the genes that help.
Recently I discover that my cholesterol was high (over 200), and that scares me, but still not enough to make a radical change. When I saw your challenge many years ago I admire the cause and the people that go through this, and I always fantasize with the idea of me actually doing a triathlon, which scares me too much, but I guess that wearing the spandex uniform for the camera will scare me even more!!!.
I want to do it, I want to demonstrate and inspire my young students that at any age we can make changes for good, however I feel I can't do it alone, and CNN is giving me an opportunity that I want to take. I live in Philadelphia and commute almost everyday to New Brunswick NJ for my job, the trip takes a toll on my spirit and will, and tell you the truth I do not have idea where to star, but if you choose me I am willing to go all the way.
Beside my lack of energy and overweight being I am healthy, no heart problems, done my colonoscopy and prostate at 50, and everything else is in order beside a dropped Kidney from birth, which is fully functional. ( ask Dr Gupta he will explain that to you)
I am ready and willing, lets the challenge begin.
Thanks for your attention and the opportunity to tell you my story.
