Candy Cane Lane lights up Sleepy Hollow

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     This neighborhood, which is referred to as Sleepy Hollow during Christmas, used to be iReporter Lloyd Brown's paper route as a kid.

The people living in the neighborhood started decorating their houses like this more than 40 years ago, Lloyd who now lives more than three miles away always makes sure he drives down at Christmas to have a look: “It is pretty cool seeing blocks and blocks of homes involved in making it one huge decoration.”
    - stinabacker, CNN iReport producer

It is starting to look a lot like Christmas as the Sleepy Hollow area of Torrance, CA dresses up as Candy Cane Lane.

The Sleepy Hollow Christmas Lights Extravaganza began December 1, 2012 and will run nightly until at least New Years Day. The lights are on from about 6 PM until 10 PM. You can drive up and down the streets as entire neighborhoods are lit up, or you can park your car and walk, enjoying the lights music and the wafting scents of hot chocolate and cookies.

It is a lot of fun for the entire family. You can find all of my photos from last night on GotBaddog.com as well as easy to follow directions from anywhere in Southern California. Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas.
