    Monsoon at Picacho Peak

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Sett told me, 'We took it at Red Rock, Arizona... which is just a couple of miles south of Picacho Peak. The sky was pretty dark there, and we were hoping to photograph some meteors from the Perseids meteor shower that evening. Didn’t catch many meteors, but did see that wonderful storm. It was moving away from us, and was quite active.'

    My wife and I were hoping to photograph some of the meteors during the Perseid meteor shower near Picacho Peak, Arizona. However, a brief thunderstorm made for a much better shot. We may not have seen many meteors that evening, but the natural light show was very pleasing.
