Socialism requires perfect people to work. One greedy, self centered or lazy person and the system collapses. With no perfect people available, the only alternative is an all powerful Central Government that enforces the system at the point of a gun. The problem with that being that the people at the top are greedy, self centered and lazy. The end result is a system where the Politicians become a ruling, privileged class and everyone else their slaves. Socialism benefits Politicians for a while. Being a self destructive form of Government, they soon, as Margaret Thatcher once said, “run out of other peoples money”, at which time the country falls into ruin.
People, who love Socialism, need to read history. It doesn’t take long to discover that Socialism has been an absolute failure everywhere it has been tried. We may be smart but we aren’t smart enough to make Socialism work.
