Maybe The Middle Class Should Pay More

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     GoGreen58 says the middle class makes up the majority of the population in the United States. He says if Americans want to turn the country's economy around, then a bulk of the taxes needed to help the country are going to have to be from the middle class. 'Right now, everyone knows that the middle class is taking the heavy burden, but if we let off the gas, things could get worse,' he said.

He does not believe raising taxes on the wealthiest Americans will fix the country's economic problems. He feels as though the middle class should pay more in taxes, although he admits he has not paid taxes yet because he is still a college student. He will be paying taxes is up coming year. 'I can't wait to pay taxes because I want to do my part in helping this country,' he said.

'I know my tax money will go towards good programs and jobs, but will also go towards programs that people abuse, which I'm kind of not happy about.'

My name is Byron Thomas and America; I know this is very hard to say but maybe the middle class should pay more. The rich isn’t the majority in this country and the poor can’t do much, so maybe we are the solution to turning this country back around. Now don’t get me wrong, the rich should pay more, but we shouldn’t be penalizing success or just trying to take from them since we are not rich. The rich need to become the risk takers this country needs right now, since they do have the money. For the poor, they can’t give much but they need to have the mindset of getting into the middle class pool. Yes, those government programs might feel good because to you it seems like free money but yall can’t get relaxed on those programs. Remember the more we take from the federal government, the slower we’re going to turn this debt around. It’s up to the middle class, because we are the majority and it really isn’t good that our dollar has to get stretched even farther. Don’t worry, America hasn’t fallen yet and we will get out of this hole together. Kill People with Kindness and May God Bless America
