Middle Earth has Inspired Me
I've been a Tolkien fan since 1969 when I first read The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.Over the years, I've re-read these stories over and over again. I had often wondered why they were never made into a movie.
I discovered that Barnes & Noble had started online Lord of the Rings discussion classes and signed up for one. I had not realized that there were so many others who enjoyed Tolkien's works as much as I had!
When the class was over, many of us began our own discussion forum to continue our Fellowship and enjoyment of Tolkien. Over the years, I have become the administrator of the forum.
We certainly had lots to discuss when Peter Jackson began making The Fellowship of the Ring, We were overjoyed and our discussions sky rocketed.
I have always loved dressing up and have designed my own Middle-earth clothing. I have an elf outfit complete with pointy ears. My favorite character is Eowyn and I have a gown of hers inspired by PJ's movies and her Rider of Rohan battle gear.
I have been ready for The Hobbit movie since I first read the books in 1969 and already have plans to be out at the Theater on opening night with my ticket in hand and ready to enjoy The Hobbit Movie.
