With the elves hard at work at the North Pole, Santa took a little time off to rev his batteries and warm up in advance of what can only be called the busiest night of the year -- Christmas Eve when he traverses the world leaving presents for all good girls and boys! Leaving his sleigh and reindeer behind at the North Pole, Santa arrived on Waikiki beach in a more traditional mode of island transportation -- an outrigger canoe -- powered by the beach staff of Faith Surf School. Hundreds were on hand to welcome this VIP visitor to the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach, with children from a local hula school -- Halau `O Pua Kahale -- greeting Santa Claus with a gift of hula.
