    Making it in America: Mompreneurs

Corporate mom creates flexible and sustainable business

As a former technology management and sales person from IBM and Xerox I loved my career and challenges but needed more flexibility when starting my family. After 2 children I created my own business called Jewel Ya. We sell finer metal chain and gemstone hand designed and manufactured jewelry. Jewel Ya is now sold through retailers, through trunk shows to end users via many mom connections, and online at www.jewelya.com. Finding a career that keeps the lights on and allows flexibility for family is a daily challenge. Managing and working with other supportive moms makes the difference!
