The Mood in Oslo at about 18:00/10 Dec 2012 following recent EU Nobel Peace Prize Win
Hundreds of people, men, women and children, walked the streets of Oslo, bracing the icy cold weather, in order to display recognition of the importance of the European Union winning the Nobel peace prize. It felt like the Elves' Great Journey westward to the Undying Lands: peaceful, silent, thoughtful. They each held a flaming black stick of some sort as they calmly walked where this picture was taken on Karl Johan Gate in Oslo. It is not a good picture, but I thought it was something worth reporting and sharing. After all, the European Union has managed to abstain from war, something which may be taken for granted by many, yet a look across the globe ought to remind us of the importance of this achievement by the EU and this peaceful march to mark its importance
