A Family Christmas Tradition Continues
In 2008 I had the honor to speak with Mr. Bill Zapf Sr. who had played Santa Z outside of his house near Cincinnati, Ohio for 37 years.
That Christmas Season he had to stay inside while his son took over the reins because he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer earlier that summer.
I spoke with, and captured Mr. Zapf on video some time around December 14, 2008 and December 19, 2008 he past away from his illness.
His son Bill Zapf Jr. is keeping the family tradition alive as his father taught and instructed him to do. Now bringing joy to others for 42 years, The Zapf Family Christmas Display Tradition continues.
December 10, 2012 I spoke with Bill Zapf Jr. and I hope to speak with him again, on camera, in the upcoming days, it should be great!
