    My Best Moment of 2012

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     iReporter 3Bobby can thank a last minute decision to switch tube trains in London, England, for his best moment of the year. He entered the tube train one morning in the summer, as the Paralympic Games were on, to find Liesl Tesch, Australian Paralympic sailing gold medallist, sitting in the same carriage. "She was very friendly and happy showing her gold medal to the passengers," he said. "Everyone scampered for his/her turn of the photo shoot opportunity. She put the medal around my neck and asked for my phone and took the picture herself." He said it was moment of the year for him because of the unique atmosphere of London during the summer games. "I consider this my best moment, because this occasion was so rare for me -- maybe it will not happen again in my lifetime," he said.

The Olympic Games in London was undoubtedly one of the best moments of the year. Having spent 4 days watching the games, I did have the most enjoyable time. But nothing beats the moment I wore an Olympic gold medal for a picture souvenir courtesy of Liesl Tesch, Paralympic gold-medallist of the Two-Person Keelboat (SKUD18) held on Sept. 5,2012 in Weymouth and Portland. She even offered to take my picture using my iPhone. And, we had our picture together using my SLR, thanks to a passenger who volunteered to be our photographer. Now, I can tell the world how it feels to wear an Olympic Gold Medal !
