"My friend literally grabbed the camera out of my hands and pushed me in the right direction [to her husband]," she said. "I was so overwhelmed that day I didn't know where to go." The moment signalled the end of a very painful year, she said. "All the stress and fear and pain suddenly was replaced with love and magic and joy. I felt like I had gotten something precious back that was taken from me." The couple have had a tumultous year, moving across the world before settling -- for a few years at least -- in Hangzhou, China. She says she hopes 2013 will be a little less hectic.
