    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     iReporter Diana Carolina Leon sent in this intimate photograph of the birth of her daughter Sophia.

    Diana says: “This photo is special to me because it captured the exact moment that my life would never be the same. It captured something that most women that have C-Sections are not able to see: the birth of the child they have carried for over 9 months.”

    My best moment of 2012 was the birth of my daughter Sophia Carolina. Its hard to describe the emotions felt.... but when I felt my daughter that had grown inside of me for the past 9 months be pulled out of me, I knew that my life would never be the same. Then when I first heard her voice I knew and felt that I had been blessed with an angel that I had to protect for the rest of my life. Then when I first layed eyes on her.... I knew I had fallen in love, A LOVE that I have never felt before. Love that is pure, innocent, and ever lasting.
