    The Truth about Egyptian Constitution

     

    Here are few articles of the constitution translated so state department and intelligence community can read it, added comments to each article so Americans can understand:

     

    Article 1;
    The Arab Republic of Egypt is an independent sovereign state, united and indivisible, its system democratic;The Egyptian people are part of the Arab and Islamic nations, proud of belonging to the Nile Valley and Africa and of its Asian reach, a positive participant in human civilization;

     

    Comments: To the Brotherhood; this is the correct primary endeavor of human civilization, with the ultimate goal being the unification of these regimes under the banner of the Caliphate – or universal Islamic state. The Brotherhood has reached global status, wielding power and influence in almost every state with a Muslim population

     


    Article 2
    Islam is the religion of the state and Arabic its official language. Principles of Islamic Sharia are the principal source of legislation;

     

    Article 4;
    Al-Azhar is an encompassing independent Islamic institution, with exclusive autonomy over its own affairs, responsible for preaching Islam, theology and the Arabic language in Egypt and the world. Al-Azhar Senior Scholars are to be consulted in matters pertaining to Islamic law;The post of Al-Azhar Grand Sheikh is independent and cannot be dismissed. The method of appointing the Grand Sheikh from among members of the Senior Scholars is to be determined by law.

     

    Article 219
    The principles of Islamic Sharia include general evidence, foundational rules, rules of jurisprudence, and credible sources accepted in Sunni doctrines and by the larger community.

     

    Comments: Imagine if someone like Qaradawi or Amr Abd el Rahman who was sentenced to life in prison for plotting twin towers is the leader of El Azhar.

     

    Article 10
    The family is the basis of the society and is founded on religion, morality and patriotism. The State is keen to preserve the genuine character of the Egyptian family, its cohesion and stability, and to protect its moral values, all as regulated by law.

     

    Comments: Muslim Brotherhood militants roam the villages and cities to sponsor ethics on behalf of the community as we have seen in the last few months where they smashed courtrooms, prevented Supreme Justices from entering the Supreme Court. Numerous attacks on opponents and killing peaceful protesters. An Iranian-style theocratic regime.

     

    Article 49
    Freedom to publish and own newspapers of all kinds is a guaranteed subject of notification for every natural or juridical Egyptian person. The establishing of radio stations, television broadcasting and digital media is regulated by law.

     

    Comments: Regulated by law means shutting down free of speech according to Sharia law.

     

    Article 60
    The Arabic language is a primary subject in all stages of education in all educational institutions. Religious education and national history are core subjects of pre-university education in all its forms. Universities shall be committed to the teaching of ethics pertaining to the various disciplines.

     

    Comments: Sounds like Pakistan’s Madrasa which fuel Islamic extreme radicals around the world

     

    Article 220
    Cairo is the capital of the State. The capital may be moved by law.

     

    Comments: Muslim Brotherhood are planned for Jerusalem to be the Capital of United Islamic Republic where Middle East and South Asia become one Islamic country
