What was your best moment of 2012?

    Paris

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     iReporter Christopher Gordon says this autumnal evening scene was the result of being “in the right place at the right time.”

During a rainy evening stroll with his wife back to their hotel, Christopher spied this sunset behind the Eiffel Tower.

“I never thought I would be a fan of Paris but once I got there I fell in love. This picture just topped the beauty of the city.”
    - mjponsford, CNN iReport producer

In October my wife took me on a trip around Europe for my 30th birthday with our second stop being Paris. We only had 2 days to spend in Paris so we decided to take a bike tour to see as much of the beautiful city as possible. The bike tour was cold and a little wet but it was a great day. After our bike tour we decided to take the metro back to the apartment where we were staying but being the tourist that we are, we got off at the wrong stop. Thinking a couple mile walk would not be too bad in the cold we decided to walk the rest of the way. As we began our lovely walk through the streets of Paris it started to rain immensely. A couple blocks into our very wet stroll we look to our right and see the Eiffel Tower surrounded by the bright orange sky, it was as if we had just stumbled upon this picture perfect moment. It was definitely one of the most memorable moments of our trip.
