    Zero Cancer

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     iReporter and physician Leslie Arnold captured the occasion in September when her mother received some lifechanging news.

    Having been diagnosed with thyroid cancer and undergone radiation therapy, Leslie’s mother feared the worst when heading to a doctor's examination.

    “When the oncologist said the scans were negative, we looked at him with disbelief and asked him to repeat the news,” says Leslie.

    “Slowly the grins began to appear and when the oncologist left the room, we gathered around mother and had our picture taken with all of us showing ‘Zero Cancer’.”

    Mom and her four children show she has “ZERO CANCER”. We had just had the oncologist tell us mom’s tests showed no evidence of disease!
