Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Held Fireside Chat With Carla Harris, Interviewed by Monica Pearson
On Thursday evening Nov. 8, Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) hosted a fireside chat with Carla Harris. Ms. Harris is a Managing Director and Senior Client Advisor at Morgan Stanley. She is responsible for increasing client connectivity and penetration to enhance revenue generation across the firm’s securities and wealth management businesses. She formerly headed the Emerging Manager Platform, the equity capital markets effort for the consumer and retail industries and was responsible for Equity Private Placements. Ms. Harris has extensive industry experiences in the technology, media, retail, telecommunications, transportation, industrial, and healthcare sectors.
Carla is the author of “Expect to Win” and has earned numerous professional accolades, including Fortune Magazine’s list of “The 50 Most Powerful Black Executives in Corporate America.”
Monica Pearson, a well-known retired Atlanta television anchor, interviewed Carla in front of an audience of 140 of MSWM’s clients, prospects, and employees at the Buckhead Club. The topic ranged from chatting about the book, experience in business, and the challenges of maintaining work–life balance. Sources from the event said both truly captured the audience.
Prior to the fireside chat, MSWM conducted a successful diversity sourcing event for African Americans and females interested in a career in the financial services industry.
