French Onion Soup at Cafe De France
Sample a taste of Paris at Cafe de France in the heart of Dallas. As a starter my favorite dish is French Onion Soup with fresh bread. It will warm you up on a cold day. It has the just right amount of onions and cheese. As an entree I enjoyed Sole Meuniere because it was sauteed in lemon butter sauce with mushrooms and artichokes.
The chef's pride and joy is Linguine Pasta tossed with shrimp, crab meat, mushroom, and onion in Alfredo or Marinara Sauce. Parisian Chicken has green and red bell peppers, covered with melted Swiss Cheese.
The owner, Allen Gilani, came to the United States as an exchange student in the seventies. Dallas is lucky he decided to stay and share traditional French Cuisine from Leon, France. Eat like a local Parisian in Texas.
