100 places to eat like a local
Crawfish Time Lafayette
Lafayette was recently voted best food in the south by Southern Living Magazine and selected as best food in the country by Rand-McNally.
We have plenty of good places to eat. For the most part we don't mind tourists coming to any of them. Most people in the area can really cook well but sometimes you just want some one else to do the cooking.
I have a crawfish rig and I can do a boil just right but it is time consuming and just takes too long for a weekday evening. That's when we head to Crawfish Time. There are several located around town and they are not all owned by the same people and they don't have any infringement problems because they all still have plenty of business. All of them offer dine in and carry out. Plus they offer boiled shrimp and crabs but who wants that when there is crawfish. Don't forget some dipping sauce and don't wipe your eyes with all that seasoning on them.
