Classics like Jampong at Golden Buddha
The history and culture that it took to bring this little spicy bowl of noodles placed in front of me always reminds me of the stories my dad used to tell me when I was a little girl about China and Korea.
This Chinese-Korean infused dish, best known as Jampong, usually a very spicy soup base with seafood combinations and noodles is highly recognized in the asian community. As one of the oldest Chinese restaurants located on Clairmont Road of Atlanta, it has been owned by a 1st generation Korean for many years. I remember coming to the restaurant when I was as young as five before we moved down south, and now that I am back in the city, I still regularly go as if it is, you know, one of those top 5 restaurants you cycle through the weeks because they just never leave your radar..even after 15 years. A classic.
