CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Jameson Riley says he was shocked and saddened to hear about the Newtown school shooting, especially after going through the Aurora shooting that happened in Colorado a few months before. 'My daughter lived just a few blocks away from that theater,' he said. 'And that shooting really impacted us.'

He says in light of the recent mass shootings he thinks people need to start taking action. 'There are no boundaries anymore. If the community fights back, then I think it will reduce things like this from happening,' he said. He suggests more armed guards in schools and other public spaces.

As a gun owner himself, he says the recent mass shootings have made him consider getting a carrying permit for a concealed weapon. 'I would absolutely carry a concealed weapon. I have a two-year-old daughter, and she is the light of my life. And I would like to protect her,' he said. 'It is horrible to think that we have come to a path where this is necessary, but I think it is fixable.'
