I can't stop thinking of ALL the precious little children and the wonderful teachers that tried to save them. MY heart is broken and full of sadness. I am crying tears of sorrow. This is A DISGRACE TO OUR COUNTRY! NOTHING LIKE THIS SHOULD EVER, EVER HAPPEN AGAIN! WHY WHY WHY? I am angry and deeply saddened about ALL OF THIS. I have a 5 year old grandson and I can't even imagine being one of those parents and grandparents receiving that horrific news. You may as well kill me too. I don't know if I would have the strength to get through such a senseless and malicious tragedy.

IF WE CAN'T CONTROL THE GUNS THEN WE NEED TO CONTROL THE ENVIRONMENT! ALL SCHOOLS, YES, ever single SCHOOL IN THE COUNTRY, SHOULD HAVE police and /or security guards with secured entrances and a direct button to 911. SOMETHING HAS TO BE DONE!! THIS IS JUST UNBEARABLE AND TOO MUCH! WE CANNOT IGNORE THIS! WE, AS A SOCIETY ARE SMARTER THAN THIS! DO YOU HEAR ME WASHINGTON, DC???? DO YOU HEAR ME MR. PRESIDENT???? ACTION NEEDS TO COME OF THIS! PLEASE!

The other big issue is that this insane young man did not get the help he needed and nothing was noticed in his behavior. There must have been signs of his mental instability. In every case there are signs. Why did no one do anything? What was the mother doing? What was his father and brother doing? Not to blame them, but they must have noticed SOMETHING was not right. And you can't help to feel pity for the shooter and his family...what went so wrong that he had to do this horrific act of violence against innocent children and their teachers??? This kind of violence TOUCHES EACH AND EVERYONE OF US.

I was remembering back when I was in kindergarten and first grade and I was in a 6 room school house. WHAT has happened to our society in the last 40 years that is now a "regular" occurance?? Something like this was UNHEARD OF. What the hell is going on?? WHY WHY WHY is this happening...and it seems to be everywhere. It even happened in my home town of BINGHAMTON, NY. I will remember that terrible day as long as I live. I immediately started crying and praying as I was standing in the lobby of our TV station watching one of my co-worker reporters describe what was happening just a few miles away. I was immediately praying for the victims and their families. NOT BELIEVING that another crazed gunman had killed 13 innocent people and himself at our local AMERICA CIVIC ASSOCIATION.
I work at one of the local Fox Affiliate and we had prime coverage of the whole story. It felt terribly wrong to have every national TV network descend upon the ACA in our little town to describe the horrific story on the National News. And I feel sorry for the shooter and his family . There are no winners in this situation.

WE NEED TO BAND TOGETHER TO SEE THAT THIS NEVER HAPPENS AGAIN!! SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE, NOW, TODAY! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.....WE AS A COLLECTIVE PEOPLE WITH OUR OWN FAMILIES NEED TO PREVENT ANY MORE INNOCENT LIVES FROM BEING TRAGICALLY CUT SHORT.

If there are other people out there that feel as strongly as I do please let me know. I want to do SOMETHING to prevent this from ever happening to our fellow American families, no matter what race, religion or creed. A life is a precious gift and should be cherished to live and grow in peace and love, never being cut short by random violence.

My continued prayers and deepest condolences for all of those suffering in grief. May the Lord surround you by his loving arms in peace and comfort.
