Control ammunition
I am no expert on guns and I don’t own a gun. My thoughts are that the focus should turn to ammunition. There are many guns out there and it would be extremely difficult to remove them from circulation. However by focusing our efforts on ammunition hopefully we could reduce unintended usage. Ammunition sales should be recorded and heavy purchases should not be allowed unless justified or approved using a waiting period.
I also agree with many things that have been said here on the site. But we have a state in Connecticut that has tough gun laws and in fact the gunman was turned down as it appears the current system worked in not permitting him to purchase a firearm several days before the massacre.
