    Candlelight Vigil, New York City

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     jimi1127 says he attended a candlelight vigil with more than 200 other adults, parents and children to honor the victims of the Newtown school shooting. He says the vigil was setup by Change.org and held at Strauss Park in New York City. He describes the mood as somber, but there was also anger. ‘There was anger that this horrible deed occurred and anger over the lax control over guns,' he said.

    New York City residents gather to remember the children and adults killed in Newtown, Connecticut. Many participants brought their young children to the vigil. A petition was circulated demanding that local, state and federal representatives quickly enact stringent gun control legislation.
