Last Thursday, December 13, some friends of mine and I met in Pordenone (Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy) to have a beer together. It was just 6 of us, having fun and chatting about the ongoing week and of the problems Italy is going through. And guess who turned out of the corner? Yes! Daniele Molmenti (in the picture, in the middle), the K1 2012 Olympic champion. He joined us for dinner. I did not manage to meet him after his great success when he won the medal, due do his strict schedule of meetings and events. But that night he was out with us friends. I was so glad that I was finally able to chat with him and to tell him how proud we all were when he won the medal! We took this picture with my iPhone because I wanted to write this iReport to close he circle. I really wish he continues being exactly as he is and continues winning Olympic medals!!! Go Daniele!!
