    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Photographer Christopher Michel took this unusual family portrait at the Burning Man event, which is held annually in the Black Rock Desert in northern Nevada.

    “The photo is of a British couple that were standing by a large mirrored art installation. I asked if I could take their picture and this is them standing in the sun for me,” said the 45-year-old photographer from San Francisco.

    “When his father held up his disco-ball hat to the sun, and the suns rays began to bounce around all of us, I knew this was an incredibly cool moment. We were all grinning from ear to ear!” he added.

    My best moment of 2012 took place in the deep desert of Black Rock City during the Burning Man Festival. While wandering through a dust storm nearby a beautiful mirrored art installation, I came across this incredible scene of a husband and wife and their two children playing in the desert. I asked if I could take their photograph, and, without missing a beat, the (British) dad removed his disco-ball helmet and held it up to the sun while mom held her baby. An incredibly unforgettable moment.
